hard out here for a czar

Found this shirt at Village Thrift. Obviously, I’ll have to give it to B. That place is seriously gold in a jar. It’s like buying a nickel ticket for one of those 1/16 mile track pony trots at the county seat fair and realizing you’re going to get to go on a unicorn safari instead.

everything's so easy for pauline

I’m listening to Neko Case and eating a banana. I should be trying to stitch on the last buttons for my manuscript, but I can’t concentrate. I want to go snowboarding. Or I want to go back to Athens.

I’m reading Andrew Lycett’s biography of Dylan Thomas and it’s depressing me a bit. I think I’ll annotate some poems and that will cheer me up.

There is a rustling in the Christmas tree that my roommates refuse to take down. I’ve never had a cat because I’m allergic to them, but they have two. They're odd creatures but I really like watching what they do. But is this normal?

Bobo

It's amazing Winston's christmas present has lasted this long. He doesn't really chew aggressively as much as he likes to lick his toys bald. And eat their ears.

Ralph

Two days ago I posted a few pictures from the trip Sarah and I took to the Georgia Aquarium. In the second picture you can see a beautiful whale shark swim by. I was distressed to learn yesterday that Ralph, one of four of these fish rescued from Thailand, died. I tried to write a little elegy about him, but all I could think up was—I really liked watching you swim, big guy.

You have managed to coldly and persistently rape the English language for 17 pages. Congratulations."
